About the workshop
Why the 2012 workshop was held and what it set out to achieve.
Aim
The workshop was the final stakeholder meeting of the DiDaH project. It served two purposes. The first part presented and discussed the SACA&D system, with the aim of improving and extending it. The second part examined the applications and the science that could be built on the recovered data.
Theme
The theme of the workshop was SACA&D as a tool for database visualization in support of climate analysis, climate research and the development of climate services.
Participants
The programme was developed with the participants and invited speakers, and brought together the two organising institutes with specialists from across the ASEAN region and beyond. The speakers and their sessions are listed in the day by day agenda, beginning with day 1.
Context
The workshop closed a phase of cooperation that began with the December 2009 kick off workshop in Bogor and the signature in Jakarta on 10 July 2009. Both are recorded in the news archive, and the formal arrangements are catalogued on the documents page. The introduction to the workshop gives the wider background.
