Data and indices
The digitized observations are published through a regional service built with the methods developed at KNMI.
The Southeast Asian Climate Assessment and Dataset, abbreviated SACA&D, aims to be the data portal and climate monitoring tool for the Southeast Asian region. It receives data from 18 participants covering 9 countries in the region. The observations digitized by the DiDaH project are made available through the SACA&D web pages.
What the service provides
Statements on the digitization
Regular statements recorded how far the digitization and quality control had progressed across the participating countries.
Scanned images
Scans of the original logbooks are kept alongside the digitized values so that every series can be checked against its source. See the digitized data page.
Working with the data
Beyond SACA&D, the historical series can be examined with the KNMI Climate Explorer, which was used within the project for quality and homogeneity analysis. The indices of extremes produced for the region build on the approach of the European Climate Assessment and Dataset.
